This, he said, would enable those who wanted to register as voters to collect them in the shortest time possible.

"Many Kenyans apply for the IDs but do not follow up to know whether they are processed. There are those who want to register as voters but they are yet to collect this vital document," said Mudavadi.

The former Vice President made the remarks during a voter mobilisation tour dubbed 'Nasa Kura' (register as a voter) in Kawangware, Nairobi County.

"Let the government publicise the names in local newspapers. There are many organisations ready to fund such an initiative," he noted. He urged opposition supporters to register in large numbers in order to send home 'failed' Jubilee government.

"Doctors are on strike, people cannot get water and they shortchanged the opposition on the electoral laws. This is why they must go home," he said.
