No nation in Kenya values its pride more than the Bukusu people. To wound their pride would therefore be the worst imaginable scenario that would definitely attract the wrath and vengeance of the Ababukusu. That is why one is tempted to conclude that Eugene Wamalwa's humiliation at the Maragoli Cultural Festival in Vihiga was the worst political mistake ever made by NASA Principal Musalia Mudavadi. The Ababukusu will definitely subscribe to the old testament philosophy of an eye for an eye and may soon demand their equal share of Shylock's pound of flesh, not a gram less nor a gram more. If I were Musalia Mudavadi, I would soon dispatch a team of white-aired elders with pots of traditional brew to smooth the way for negotiation with the Ababukusu elders. It is obvious that Musalia Mudavadi still has 2022 Presidential ambitions. To earn the wrath of your kinsmen would be tragic. As they say, it is not good to insult the crocodile when you still have to cross his river on a log. Musalia Mudavadi and the Abamaragoli nation owe Eugene Wamalwa unreserved apologies for heckling him shamelessly. The Luhya nation should uphold their famed peaceful nature that has earned them respect all over. Any attempt to introduce violence should be condemned.
