NASA principal Musalia Mudavadi has now called on the government to find a solution to the ongoing lecturers strike.
According to the Amani National Congress leader, the 2017-2021 CBA mediated by the court after the 2016-17 strikes should be respected.
speaking on Wednesday, Mudavadi said that the government should respect court orders on labour laws.
The government players in the university education saga are only borrowing a leaf from a system that is decidedly bent on ignoring court orders. A caring government would have closed all campuses until the industrial dispute with lecturers is resolved," he said.
He said that the government's refusal to solve the strike situation is costing parents and students.
"This would have saved students and parents the agony of unprofitable expenses. The students are also paying for accommodation yet they are not learning. It is very bad since no one will compensate them for losses," he said.
The labour court has already declared the strike illegal.
