Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC), Nairobi branch, is facing leadership wrangles.
ANC’s Nairobi interim officials are demanding removal of national Secretary General Geoffrey Osotsi for allegedly meddling with the party’s grassroots affairs.
Acting chairman Newton Wanjala on Tuesday said Osotsi was silently plotting to replace them with his partners.
“Osotsi is running the party like a private company and has been hiring goons to disrupt meetings convened by other leaders,” said Embakasi Central secretary Fred Wamalwa on Wednesday.
Wanjala claimed Osotsi has been holding meetings and educating party members of the planned harmonisation structure, yet his motive is to remove them from office.
Osotsi, however, refuted the claims, saying the two leaders were responsible for the party’s lack of progress.
