Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi delivered a strong message after being crowned the Luhya community spokesperson on Saturday December 31 2016.
In the event presided over by Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli, Mudavadi accepted the highly demanding crown and said he was going to work with other leaders to provide a better leadership for the people.
"I accept this honor with humility and with commitment. I accept to be your leader so that we work together and grow Kenya together," he said.
Mudavadi asked the community to come together and help him to deliver in line with the expectations that came with the task.
"I want us to come together and we become one. Help me I can't walk alone. Even footballers cannot walk alone," Mudavadi said.
In what insinuated his imminent going for the presidency in this year's general elections, Mudavadi asked the community to walk with him in his last steps ahead of the polls.
Present at the occasion were Atwoli, Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya and Lugari MP Ayub Savula among others.
