NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has warned opposition supporters against issuing ultimatums as the alliance works on the modalities to pick its presidential flag bearer.
The ANC leader said he was concerned that a section of NASA stalwarts had vowed to abandon the political outfit if their favourite candidate would not be picked as the alliance torch bearer.
“There are some of our supporters saying if their preferred candidate is not named the flag bearer they will not vote. If you are not in NASA, then you are in Jubilee,” said Mudavadi on Friday.
He was speaking during a NASA political rally at Masinde Muliro grounds in Mathare Constituency, Nairobi.
The former Vice President asked the alliance followers to rally behind the principal chosen irrespective of their political party affiliations.
His counterparts; Raila Odinga (ODM ), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) said they were determined to remain united to remove Jubilee regime from power.
“If we are indeed united, politicians should desist from giving ultimatums that it should be Kalonzo, Wetangula, Raila, Mudavadi or nothing. From today, that thing should end,” said Mudavadi as quoted by the Standard.
