According to the leader’s spokesman Kibisu Kabatesi, Mudavadi will tour Teso on Saturday to launch a project dubbed the Oku Kaunya Foundation.

Kaunya who is a former AP boss and who fled the country over ICC cases fears is expected to announce his Busia gubernatorial bid at the event.

On Sunday, Mudavadi will tour Navakholo constituency and is expected to receive former UDF officials into the Amani party.

"We want to lock the Western region by December to allow our party leader to move to other counties early next year," said Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi. "Our target is to reclaim areas whose MPs have decamped to Jubilee."

After the weekend visit, Mudavadi is expected to head to Coast where he will address a number of rallies in Lamu county.
