This is after the Head of State admitted that he was frustrated in the fight against rampant corruption in the country.

"His demeanor was that of throwing in the towel... which amounts to the executive surrendering to corruption cartels," said Mudavadi.

Mudavadi who was speaking on Tuesday after the anti-corruption summit held at State House said that Uhuru's sentiments did not inspire the fight against graft.

"The posture of helplessness does not inspire the war against corruption. What then is the message to ordinary Kenyans?" he asked.

During the summit, Uhuru said that State agencies had failed to tackle corruption despite all the resources being available in plenty.

"Corruption is frustrating me. The pressure is on me to do something about corruption but my hands are tied," said Uhuru.
