Nairobi county deputy governor Jonathan Mueke at a past briefing.
Nairobi county deputy governor Jonathan Mueke has petitioned Wiper democratic movement National Elections Board (NEB) to disclose nomination requirements to aspirants.
Mueke said revealing full information on nominations will ensure no candidate is locked out during the party’s primaries.
Addressing over 120 aspirants at the party headquarters, Mueke assured aspirants that nominations will be free and fair.
He urged the aspirants to mobilise party supporters to register as voters in large numbers in the remaining six days of the one-month mass voter registration exercise.
“The election will be won in the remaining week of voter registration by the coalition whose supporters register in great numbers,” said Mueke.
He said the party has identified its strongholds in Nairobi and it is making every effort to ensure that its supporters in those areas are registered as voters.
Mueke will be seeking re-election as deputy governor to governor Evans Kidero.
