Speaking on Sunday at a colorful event organised by area community leaders at Gesiaga region, residents urged political leaders to support the governor till his term ends and let the electorates judge him based on development records come next general elections.

They asked Senator Kennedy Okong’o who is claimed to be leading rebellion against Nyagarama to join hands and steer development in the region.

“Our governor is a human being and may have done mistakes here and there but it’s unfair for politicians to continue criticising him without even giving solutions to the issues they raise,” said Wallace Ondere.

“I appeal to our Senator and those allied to him to join the governor and work for Nyamira people. As electorates, we are not blind hence on 2017, we will be able to know who worked or did not work for us,” added Andrew Momanyi.

They said leadership wrangles were derailing development in the region besides defending the governor over skewed employments in the county government.

“It is not proper for politicians to continue instigating rebellion in our county. Political squabbles have really stalled development in the region because some MCA are opposing certain crucial bills. It is worthy to remember that employment is done by County Public Service Board and not the governor,” notes Momanyi.
