Jubilee nominated senator Beth Mugo has challenged Cord leader Raila Odinga to produce evidence on claims that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) is registering Ugandans and Ethiopians to vote in the August 8, general elections.
Mugo termed Raila’s claims as malicious and which can cause anxiety and tension in the country.
She asked Raila to produce evidence and stop speculations and propaganda that could plug the country into violence.
''Raila is known for spewing propaganda and baseless speculations, and on this he has to produce evidence and stop maligning independent government institutions,” she said.
The former Dagoretti MP further asked the Cord leader to retire from active politics.
She claimed that Raila’s relevance in politics was no longer felt and had turned himself into a propaganda tool.
