Muhoroni voters have defied ODM over the party's official choice for the area MP seat.
The residents on Saturday took to the streets in protest against the candidature of former area MP Ayiecho Olweny.
They threatened not to vote for any other candidate save the the incumbent Onyango K'Oyoo.
The residents moved along the road chanting "No K'Oyoo! No Voting" and said they voted for the MP during the last ODM nominations and that therefore their choice must be respected.
"We are tired of his leadership where youths were being misused to attack people with crude weapons," Abdala Otieno, a resident, said.
"Our children are blessed to go to schools unlike under the previous leadership. Roads are passable and less fortunate children have also benefited," said another resident.
The residents said they will not be part of the ODM party unless the top leadership listens to their cry and work with K'Oyoo.
