Muhoroni Youth FC’s leadership will appeal the Kisumu High Court’s Monday ruling that stopped the club’s plan to stop last year’s relegation from the Kenya Premier League (KPL).The club’s leadership had moved to court to challenge relegation from KPL arguing that the side was disadvantaged in early 2017 following an earlier decision by Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to relegate the team alongside Sofapaka at the start of 2017 season, for failing to comply with club licensing requirements. The two sides (Muhoroni and Sofapaka) were later reinstated to KPL by the Sports Disputes Tribunal after they moved to court to challenge their dismissal. Sofapaka went on to finish second while Muhoroni finished bottom of the league at the end of 2017.The Kisumu High Court dismissed the case, but club chairman Moses Adagala is not taking the decision lying down."We are not troubled by this decision by the High Court and are now heading to the appeals court in pursuit of justice. We will not relent and are not afraid of the consequences since all plans have been handled well by our board," said Adagala. Western Stima and Muhoroni Youth were relegated from KPL in 2017 after finishing second last and last respectively. They were replaced by Vihiga United and Wazito FC who finished top and second in the second tier National Super League (NSL).Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Kisumu County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
