He revealed that Kenya's decision is geared towards striking a balance between the country’s urgent security demands and her obligations as dictated by the international laws on human rights.

Speaking at the Kenya School of Governance in Nairobi during the opening of the Fourth Regional Conference on National Implementation of International and Humanitarian Law on Tuesday, Muigai reiterated the country's firm position that the process is unstoppable.

“It is worth noting that this decision to repatriate Somali people back to their country is based on the practical realities. Kenya has suffered adverse effects on social, economic and political that ranges from and not limited to terrorism only,’' he stated.

The attorney general further stated that Kenya’s focus had subsequently shifted from humanitarian assistance into other involvements as camp management and organisation, thereby, necessitating the action that is currently in progress.
