The Republic of Kenya has responded to the issues raised by Somalia in a maritime border dispute between the two countries adjudicated by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).Attorney General Githu Muigai said that Kenya's position on the issue remains unchanged and called for negotiations to resolve the outstanding issues.''The position is entrenched in the United Nations Convention on the law of the sea and several resolutions and decisions of the African Union Heads of State and government adopted since 1964,'' a statement by the AG partly read.Somalia, in the case filed at the ICJ, contends that Kenya has encroached on its water, an accusation that the Attorney General has strongly rejected.
