United Nations Trade and Development Conference party Secretary-General Mukhisa Kituyi has scoffed at two presidential aspirants from the Luhya community terming them jokers.
Speaking during the funeral of former chief Solomon Karani in Naitiri village on Sunday, the former Cabinet Minister said Amani National Coalition party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula were not serious about their presidential bids.
He said the duo only seemed to concentrate their campaigns in the former Western Province which he noted will not guarantee them the presidency.
"These two brothers of ours have declared to go for the presidency but their popularity is not being felt countrywide," he said.
The former Kimilili MP added that mounting a presidential campaign was not an easy feat and called for seriousness which he noted was lacking in the duo with barely a year to the polls.
"We are only remaining with a very short time to the elections and we are not seeing any seriousness with our brothers," he said.
