Multimedia University of Kenya students on Tuesday, September 27th caused a traffic snarl after they barricaded Magadi Road in a protest over the killing of their school-mate in Sunday's accident at Lang'ata Road.
A Multimedia University student, Cynthia Akoth, met her death on Sunday when a city-bound matatu overturned on the busy road.
Akoth had just been admitted in the institution early September to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Applied Communication and had just begun her campus journey.
On Monday, another student from the same university identified as Karen Chepkemoi was knocked down by a speeding Matatu while crossing Magadi Road just outside the school's gate.
She was seriously injured and upon being rushed to Sinai Hospital in Rongai, she was referred to UpperHill Medical Centre.
