Amani National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Barrack Muluka has responded to reports alleging that Opposition leader Raila Odinga demanded that he leave a National Super Alliance (NASA) meeting on Monday.
Multiple media reports indicated that Raila had demanded the exit of Muluka, Tongaren MP EseliSimiyu and his Nambale counterpart Sakwa Bunyasi.
The meeting was held in Stoni Athi Resort.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Muluka blasted those behind the report for 'irresponsible journalism'.
According to Muluka they had all met in the morning before they left NASA co-principals Raila, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to have a closed-door meeting.
"That is obviously a journalist who doesn't know their work! We were there at the start, we left the principals to meet and they will brief us after the meeting," Muluka explained.
"We are here, and K24 are here. Why can't they ask yet they have our ear?...that kind of journalism should be ignored with the contempt it deserves," he stated
Muluka had earlier alleged in a TV interview that Raila betrayed the three co-principals on January 30 when he was sworn inas the People's President.
