Political analyst Barrack Muluka has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will sweat to retain power in the August 8 polls.

Speaking on Citizen TV on Wednesday, Muluka said that Uhuru has a lot of homework to do if he wants to win re-election in the August 8 general election.

Muluka said that Jubilee chances of winning the August election are dwindling day by day.

He observed that Jubilee’s failure to fulfill most of the pledges it made to Kenyans in 2013 will be its greatest setback as it seeks to retain power.

Muluka claimed that most of the promises made by Jubilee have not been met adding that Kenyans patient with the ruling government on key issues has run out.

“UhuRuto will have to work extra hard if they are to retain power in August,” he said during the interview.

Muluka pointed out that corruption and high prices for basic commodities will be UhuRuto’s road block to re-election.

He said that corruption has tainted Uhuru’s administration for the last four years.

The political analyst said that Jubilee cannot ignore the high cost of living saying that the opposition will use it to campaign against the government.

Meanwhile, Muluka has warned UhuRuto against underestimating the National Super Alliance (NASA).

Muluka said that NASA’s presidential line-up comprising of Raila Odinga as flag bearer and Kalonzo Musyoka as deputy should worry Jubilee.

“Jubilee cannot afford to underestimate NASA because the alliance has what is needed to win the August 8 general election,” he said.
