[Photo: Citizen Digital]Gunmen have shot and killed a legal officer at the Mumias Sugar Company.Ronald Lubya was attacked, Sunday night, at his rural home in Matungu, Kakamega County.Daily Nation reports Lubya succumbed to head injuries while undergoing treatment, at St Mary's Hospital in Mumias.According to Western Regional police boss Moses Ombati, the attackers went to Lubya’s home at Ingosi Village around 10pm and shot him on the head while in his car at close range.The attackers later dragged deceased’s body into the house and started harassing his wife, demanding cash from her.“They ransacked the house, harassed and beat up his wife before escaping using Lubya’s vehicle, which has not been recovered,” said Ombati.Ombati affirmed investigations have been launched to ascertain the cause of the attack.
