As the race for the Kilifi Governor seat gains pace, various camps are strategizing on how to find a winning formula to eclipse their rivals.

With the race slowly narrowing down into a two-man show pitting the incumbent Amason Kingi and Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro who is vying on a Jubilee Party ticket, the next one month may prove to a make or break moment for either of the two.Over the last few days, Mung'aro has been pitching camp in his Kilifi North backyard as he tries to lock out Kingi from getting a share of the constituency votes.With 101,978 votes up for grabs, Kilifi North constituency is the most populous sub-county in the expansive Kilifi County and may prove to be the deciding factor in the race.Besides Kilifi North, Mung'aro has focused his campaigns to Kilifi South which has 84,865 votes.Kilifi South constituency is home to his fellow ODM rebel Mustafa Iddi.The lawmaker has also brought the youth on board and they are a key part of his campaign team which has been conducting door-to-door campaigns.Mung'aro has also focused on issue-based campaigns devoid of personal attacks which have punctuated most of his political rallies in the past.Further, he has targeted specific groups ranging from women, youth, businessmen and people living with disabilities in a bid to know the needs of every individual group.
