Jubilee leaders have slammed opposition Chief Raila Odinga for being insincere with the thorny land issue in the Coast region. Led by Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro, the leaders who issued land title deeds to residents of Mariakani, Kaloleni Constituency on Wednesday said Raila did not offer any solution to the land problem during his tenure as the Prime Minister despite controlling the land docket. While lauding Jubilee government's record in land reforms, the lawmaker said much has been done in the sector since the current regime came to power four years ago.Najib Balala, once a key ally of Raila dismissed the opposition chief’s ability to reform the land sector noting that he had a chance to do it during his stint as the Prime Minister. On his part, Mining Cabinet Secretary Dan Kazungu said President Uhuru Kenyatta's development record in the county remains unmatched and challenged the locals to embrace Jubilee party and give the President another term in office.Sustaining an onslaught in the region, Jubilee Party is eyeing a chunk of the over 1.7 million votes during the August polls.During the 2013 elections, President Kenyatta garnered just over 150,000 votes in the entire Coast region against Raila's 612,057. However, Jubilee is hoping for a better return this time round.
