Former Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro on Tuesday hit out at Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho over plans to swear in Raila Odinga as president.Mung’aro, who vied for the Kilifi gubernatorial seat on a Jubilee ticket but lost to Kingi, accused the two NASA governors of lying to Raila that he can be sworn in, despite knowing that the constitution does not allow such.Speaking outside Kilifi County Commissioner Magu Mutindika’s office during the launch of the Christmas tree, the Jubilee politician said Raila will never be sworn in as the people’s president.Mung’aro said he was shocked that even Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo who is supposed to aware of the existing laws was reading resolutions to swear in Raila. The Jubilee point man in the region told those in attendance that he predicted the downfall of NASA in the Coast region after the August 8 poll and that is exactly what is happening. His sentiments were echoed by Malindi ACK Bishop Lawrence Dena who said opposition leader Raila Odinga should have talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta, adding that Kenya will only have one president according to the constitution. On his part, Kilifi County Commissioner Magu Mutindika urged residents to remain united despite the current political stalemate being witnessed in the country. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
