Kilifi governor hopeful Gideon Mung'aro has given Governor Amason Kingi a 30-day ultimatum to produce records of how the county government has spent revenue collected in the last four years.Speaking in Kamari area, Magarini Constituency on Tuesday, where he had gone to woo supporters, Mung'aro who is also the Kilifi North MP accused Kingi of misusing funds collected by the county.Mung'aro, who had earlier given the Governor a seven-day ultimatum to disclose how the county revenue was spent, claimed that Kingi's leadership is marred by corruption, adding that its high time residents rejected him through the ballot.Threatening to mobilize residents not to pay taxes to the county government should the Kingi-led administration fail to account for the revenue collected, Mung'aro accused his rival of doing little to better the lives of the residents. While rallying residents to elect him come August, Mung'aro said he is the right man to bring to an end the perennial water problem facing the county.Mung'aro who will vye on a Jubilee Party ticket is considered Kingi's greatest challenger in the race for the county's top seat in the forthcoming elections.
