Speaking in Mombasa on Friday, Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro said they will ensure leaders vying for various posts on a Jubilee ticket are elected to power to enable them implement the governments agenda in the region.

"Jubilee party will clinch over 60 per cent of elective seats in the entire Coastal region and we are working round the clock to ensure that this happens,” said Mung'aro.

The MP said the region is better of in the government than in the opposition, since their stay in the opposition had proved to bear no fruits.

When asked whether they were prepared to resign from ODM to pave way for by-elections before the next general election, the leaders said they had not defected to Jubilee but were only associating with the government in order to bring development to Coast residents.
