Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro has questioned Governor Amason Kingi's development record in the county, four years after coming into office.Speaking when President Uhuru Kenyatta launched the construction of Mariakani-Bamba Road at a cost of Sh2.1 billion, Mung'aro claimed that the Governor spends much of his time criticizing the national government's development record yet he has nothing to show for his time in office.According to Mung'aro, who set into motion the ODM defection wave in the region, Kilifi County receives close to Sh10 billion annually from the central government yet no meaningful development has been realized."Every year, Kilifi County receives close to Sh10 billion yet there is nothing to show for it," said Mung'aro, who is seeking to unseat Kingi in August.Keen to take control of the county, Mung'aro pitched for his election saying he is the right man to 'put things right' and urged residents to gift President Kenyatta with another term in office for his good development record in the area. This comes after Kilifi Deputy Governor Kenneth Kamto ditched Kingi camp and offered to be Mung'aro's running mate.
