Former Garsen constituency Member of Parliament Danson Mungatana has asked Cord leader and former Langata MP Raila Odinga to stop what he (Mungatana) termed as forcing those who defected from the opposition to remain in the Cord.
While addressing residents of Bondeni, Galole constituency in Tana River county, Mungatana said that the leaders defecting from the opposition particularly in the Coast and Western regions were fed up with being on the losing end and ought to be left alone.
He further added that it was time Raila learned that the defectors wanted to be part of the government so as to benefit directly in terms of development.
He also urged the ODM party leader to tell Kenyans what he had done for them instead of "just politicking throughout".
"Raila cannot force people to remain in the opposition. Years have passed and people must accept change. If Coast people loved him all those years, the love has now faded," said the former Kenya Airports Authority chairman.
