Former West Mugirango member of Parliament Dr.James Gesami has now accused former Meru Governor Peter Munya of blackmailing both President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president William Ruto by demanding a cabinet secretary slot.
Gesami urged Munya to stop his cheap theatrics and let Uhuru do his constitutional obligations without unnecessary duress as they were elected by majority of Kenyans.
Speaking at Igena Itambe SDA church on Saturday during a fundraiser the Gesami said they equally supported Jubilee government just like Munya and above all delivered more votes compared to Munya but they haven't been on the run to give the president sleepless nights over state appointments.
"All Kenyans are equal and it's upon president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy to chose who to reward and who to leave out and therefore its high time Munya to stop blackmailing the jubilee government by giving unnecessary conditions" said Gesami
Dr Gesami's sentiments comes at a time Munya has openly declared that he will vie for presidency come 2022 if he won't be included in the cabinet secretary list set to be named by Uhuru in few days time.
Gesami is amoung the top leaders who defected to Jubilee after unsuccessfully vying for Nyamira county gubernatorial seat.
