Council of governors chair Peter Munya has said devolution has made major strides in reviving the country’s economy.
According to Munya, devolution has improved the welfare of Kenyans.
Speaking during the release of state of Devolution, Munya said devolution has impacted Kenyans positively despite challenges.
“Challenges of inclusivity, people being marginalized…they are challenges that were brought in by an over-centralized system of Government. So far a lot of resources have been set aside and taken to County’s and all Kenyans can bear witness that devolution is transforming this country in a big way,” he said.
Munya was speaking at the end of term as the CoG chair.
The governors are set to elect an new chair on Monday afternoon.
