Meru Governor Peter Munya has no place in the Party of National Unity (PNU), officials have said.
Speaking yesterday in Nakuru during a press briefing, PNU national chairman John Kamama said Munya does not belong to PNU.
“We all know that Munya doesn’t belong to PNU. The media reported that Munya won after it was declared PNU did not enter into a merger with Jubilee Party. That is so deceitful and we all know PNU party leader is the retired president Mwai Kibaki. The media needs to get its facts right,” Kamama retorted.
“Munya is a governor elected through APK and we all know that constitution states that you must be elected from the party. The convention for PNU delegates that Munya is calling to declare him as the leader is unlawful,”added Kamama.
He has lashed at Meru governor Peter Munya following his remarks. (nation.co.ke)
