Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi has accused the Party of National Unity (PNU) of being an opposition mole.

Linturi claims that the Meru governor has secretly been working with the National Super Alliance (Nasa) and also financing their campaigns in Meru county in order to ferry crowds in the region to attend the opposition rallies.

Speaking during a Jubilee campaign rally during the weekend in Githongo, he questioned why Munya’s party did not endorse president Uhuru Kenyatta for his re-election bid on Saturday as other partner parties did.

“We saw Kanu, Narck Kenya, EFP, and Maendeleo Chap Chap parties endorsing the president in his presence. We did not see PNU hold such a meeting. This is why we are saying PNU is backing Nasa candidates,” Linturi said.
