According to Munya, Murungi has no development record in the county and it was time for him to quit politics due to the age factor.

“The senator has been in Nairobi for the last four years. He recently started coming home because he wants this position. He should be reminded of the work (which has been done) by the county government because age is catching up with him,” said Munya.

Munya who was speaking in Timau on Sunday added that his development record compared Murungi's was unmatchable something that gives him an upper hand in his re-election bid.

The leaders have been engaging in a war of words after Munya failed to fold PNU to join Jubilee.
