Meru Governor Peter Munya and his closest challenger for the gubernatorial seat Kiraitu Murungi are neck to neck in the race for the seat if the latest polls are anything to go by.

According to Infotrak Researchers, Munya is ahead of Murungi with 41 per cent, with the Senator coming second with 29 per cent.

Former legislator Kilemi Mwiria come in third at 6.3 per cent, with the number of undecided voters also high.

The most preferred senator is Mithika Linturi at 35 per cent, followed by Mugambi Imanyara at 9.3 per cent, with Senator Murungi in third with 3.2 per cent.

The women representative race is neck and neck, with Florence Kajuju at 35 per cent, followed closely by Kawira Mwangaza at 34.9 per cent.

Elizabeth Kailemia is at a distant third with three percent, while the undecided voters comprise 26.4 per cent.

Majority of those sampled say they will not vote back their legislators, with Jubilee Party rmaining the most popular at 55.4 per cent, followed by ODM at 11. 8 per cent, and PNU at 8.8 per cent.

Jubilee Coalition is the most popular in the county.
