[Photo: the-star]Meru politics continue to make headlines, even as two major rivals, governor Peter Munya and senator Kiraitu Murungi look down on each other. This time, Murungi who is vying for governorship on a Jubilee Party ticket, has accused Munya, of attacking his supporters. He said Munya's supporters attacked his supporters, with one of them slashing one of his female supporters.Kiraitu addressed the press, Saturday, as he showed the healing wound of the victim. She had been slashed on her right hand."He calls himself an angel and has no mistakes. How can an angel slash someone? Look at how this my supporter was cut with a machete. Take a look and see how she was attacked," Kiraitu said, showing off, the victim's wounded hand.He criticised the PNU party leader, saying he was leading violent campaigns in Meru, despite saying he needed peaceful Meru."He doesn't have respect for the president. How can he have respect for the people? You should not vote for someone like him," he added.Munya was however, yet to respond to Kiraitu's accusations before this publication.
