[Photo/The Star] Meru governor Peter Munya has warned the Jubilee administration of dire consequences if his second bid for the county gubernatorial seat will be frustrated by the president's party.

Munya who is defending his seat on a PNU ticket is set to face off with Jubilee's and Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi.

While addressing his supporters on Sunday in Imenti Central, the governor accused the government of using provincial administration to plan disruption in his rallies with aim of painting him unpopular.

"Enough is enough I am tired of being followed by administrators and being harassed everyday, my youth being arrested and when my meetings are disrupted nobody is arrested," said Munya.

"Let them not think that they will shake me, my roots are firm here in Meru," he added.

The county boss further warned Jubilee administration that they stand a high chance of losing being in Meru county if his campaigns will be frustrated anymore.

"If they continue using State functionary to harass my people in Meru and disrupt my meetings I will rethink my stand in this politics," he said.

Munya has repeatedly reaffirm that his PNU party is behind the push for President Uhuru Kenyatta reelection but his Sunday utterances may as well sound as music in the ears of NASA coalition.

Over the pass few days, PNU has claimed that leaders within Jubilee have been frustrating their party  by putting roadblocks on its way inform of court cases, most recently a notice on the dailies dismissing the leadership of Munya in the party.
