Igembe South Member of Parliament, Mithika Linturi, has warned Meru Governor Peter Munya against pestering the government.
Speaking during a fundraiser at Kawiru EAPC, Linturi said Munya should stop attacking the Jubilee government, saying that his attacks are dangerous to the resident of county and the government itself.
"I want to send you to beseech your governor to be an accommodative and consultative leader. Meru cannot prosper if its leaders are always opposing the government of the day," he said.
"We want to have leaders who are well linked to the president and explain the problem of the people."
Linturi accused Munya of disguising himself as the sate leader referring to his July visit to Somalia to look for Miraa market.
"I respect Munya very much but some things he is currently doing are not good. He does not seem to understand diplomatic relationship with foreign countries, and if he does he should not be engaging with foreign countries on matters supposed to be handled by the national government,” he added.
He asked Munya to join the Jubilee Party and further asked him to stop misusing the county's resources, citing funds meant for Meru County Hotel’s renovation.
