Juja MP Francis Munyua has backed Kiambu Governor William Kabogo’s re-election in 2017.

Munyua on Monday asked Kiambu locals to support Kabogo’s second term.

The Juja MP said that Kabogo’s administration has done commendable work and should be given another a term to spearhead more development.

“We will support re-election of governor Kabogo come 2017 because he is the leader who can transform Kiambu,” he said during a rally in Juja on Monday.

The MP urged locals not to be confused by other leaders who he said cannot offer leadership to the county.

Munyua cited Infrastructure, healthcare, youth and women empowerment as key areas that the county has done well.

On Sunday during a rally in Ruiru, Kabogo said that he will defend his seat come 2017.

The Kiambu governor urged locals to support his bid saying that he is still the right candidate for the seat.

Kabogo who was with Nairobi senator Mike Sonko dismissed competitors interested in the Kiambu seat. He said that he is ready to battle it out with anyone, exuding confidence that he will be re-elected.
