A 65-year-old man shock locals in Murang'a county after he requested any willing person to buy any of his children, land and the only cow he owns.
The old man reportedly called for the outrageous bid with an aim to offset a Sh1.8 million hospital bill to release his wife's body for burial.
The announcement by the old man comes in a few days after popular TV Swahili news anchor Mr Swaleh Mdoe also publicly auctioned his kidney in a bid to offset financial burdens.
“I don’t really want to bother people. I don’t. I can live with one kidney. I have decided to sell one of my kidneys after consulting my doctor on the matter. I have some pressing financial issues that I want to offset and all I can think of right now is selling my kidney. Feel free to share my mobile phone number (0722733130).
