Kiambu High Court on Friday released a man who was first charged on December 18, 2017 with murder on a Sh500,000 with a surety of similar amount.
The accused Lawrence Mwangi Njuguna appeared before Kiambu High Court Judge Justice Joel Ngugi.
He is accused of murdering his wife Gladys Wambui on December 17, 2017 at Zimmerman area in Nairobi County.
The court heard that the accused attacked his wife with a blunt object and killed her following a heated argument.
He denied the charges.
While releasing him, Justice Ngugi said that the accused is entitled to a bond.
Ngugi said observation by probation officers said there is no objection by any party. Four witnesses have been lined up to testify in the case.
The case will continue to be heard on 23 of February 2018
