Martha Auma Nyaguol is said to have killed her husband Jared Ochieng by strangling using a belt on the night of May 16, 2014.

She, on Wednesday, mysteriously disappeared in court in Kisumu shortly after High Court Judge David Majanja ruled that she would know her fate on April 11.

Nyaguol is at the centre of an incident where her husband was killed on the night of May 16, close to four years ago.

Two prosecution witnesses claim the accused and her husband had marital differences and she could have contributed to her husband's death, accusations she denies.

Nyaguol in her court argument says on the fateful day, her husband arrived home at 9 pm and told her to prepare a bath for him.

The husband, according to her went out to receive a phone call from a brother before three masked men entered the house with guns. They ordered her to remain silent as one of them dragged her husband into the house.

The masked men, she claims switched off her phone and her husband's before one removed her belt ordering her to tie it around her husband's neck.

She was, thereafter, ordered to pull the belt until the man breathed his last.
