The man who murdered his 6 year-old daughter in cold blood and later dumped her body in a suitcase in Kiambu’s Ndumberi estate has finally been arrested.
The statement was released by Kiambu OCPD Stephen Ngetich who confirmed that the man was arrested by officers in Mbeere Sub-County of Embu County.
He said that this would have not been possible without collaboration between the public and the police.
He said that the public gave relevant information to the police and thus made it very simple to trace the culprit.
“We have managed to capture Evans Njau in his home area of Mbeere in Embu County and we have him in our custody. There is no way through for a person who has committed a crime like this one. We are going to take him to court first thing on Monday morning. I congratulating the public who made it possible for us to capture this man and we are going to make sure we deliver him to the judiciary for justice to be given to the family of the deceased girl and the society at large.” Mr Ngetich said.
He went on to urge the public to be each other brothers keeper and make sure everyone in the society is safe. He said that the police are going to deal with all law breakers in the area.
