Presidential candidate Philip Murgor has refuted claims that he is a political project who has joined the race with an aim to weaken a certain fellow candidate.
In a KTN tv interview on Monday, the former Director of Public Prosecution said that he is in the race because he cannot come to terms with how the nation is being run and wants to bring change on the table.
"I am too big and independent to be a project, i stand for what i think is right. Kenyans are looking at a crisis because of the politics being practiced. This is the time for a change and i am the one to bring the change," said Murgor.
Murgor who will be vying on the United Democratic Forum claims that he has a clean track record making him one of the best candidates in the race.
"Our nation is drowning in corruption and by taking a close look at most of the other candidates, especialy those who have been in politics for longer, its clear that they have been linked to the menace at some point. We need a leader who is not part of the problem and i am the one because i have a clean record and has never been implicated in any corruption deal," he added.
Murgor announced his bid 3 months ago.
