Presidential hopeful and lawyer Philip Murgor has pledged to spearhead the war against corruption and eliminate the vice if elected as president in the August 8 general elections.
Murgor claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee government has failed to fight corruption.
He alleges that Uhuru’s government is entertaining and tolerating corruption.
Speaking during an interview on KTN on Monday, Murgor who is eyeing to unseat President Kenyatta in the August polls said that his key agenda if elected will be to tame corruption and tribalism.
Murgor promised to eliminate corruption within 100 days if elected as president in the August polls.
He claimed that corruption is rooted in government and threatens the economic stability of the country.
“My agenda will be to fight graft, tribalism and discrimination of marginalized groups,” said the former Director of Public Prosecutions.
Murgor who will be contesting for presidential seat on a United Democratic Movement (UDM) party urged Kenyans to support his bid. “I urge Kenyans to support my bid as I seek to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta from power,” he added.
He appealed to Kenyans to register as voters and vote for change in the August general elections.
Murgor asked the IEBC to guarantee fair, transparent and credible elections. He said that the electoral agency must put in place mechanisms that will guarantee fairness.
