Presidential hopeful Philip Murgor has said he won’t be joining any coalition ahead of the general elections in August.
The former Chief prosecutor who has declared his interest in the country’s top seat using the UDM Party ticket says he is confident of his chances.
Speaking on Monday when he met delegates and aspirants, Murgor said he wants to unite the country, and will heal the tribal lines that have developed over time.
“I don’t want to be a president to one tribe, I want every Kenyan to feel part of this leadership,” he said.
“So I will start in Nairobi, I get enough support, then we will move to other parts of the country,” he added.
He said that his main agenda will be developing the country’s agricultural sector, to avoid food shortages and slay the dragon of corruption that has been strangling the economy of the nation.
“Corruption in the country, for those who can remember, I was the chief prosecutor during the Kibaki era, and I used to deal with such people, corruption reduced,” he added
He however says he will not be joining hands to form coalition, arguing that his party was strong enough to go it all alone to the ballot.
“People keep asking me why I won’t join Jubilee, or move to NASA, I’ve told them I will stick with my party,” he said.
