Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has taken to social media to hit out at the Law Society of Kenya, accusing it of representing a small section of Kenyans and ignoring the rest."The Law Society of Kenya has become a tyrannical monolith that speaks for a small part of its constituency and does not listen to the rest of it. This is unacceptable," wrote Murkomen on his Facebook fan page, Saturday."Isaac Okero must outgrow his Kisumu Chapter phase and recognise his nationwide audience. To promote accountability and give members say in governance, the Law Society of Kenya Act must be amended to be Law Societies of Kenya Act to create county bars," the Jubilee senator added. His attack on the society comes just a day after the Supreme Court of Kenya nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta's win in the August 8 polls, saying he was not elected validly.LSK was one of the bodies that was enjoined as an Amicus Curiae in the NASA presidential petition that was filed by Opposition leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.
