Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Tuesday came to reality over voter rebellion in Rift Valley towards Jubilee administration.
Deputy President William Ruto has been on the receiving end and has often been accused by his former allies of demeaning them, leading to acrimonious fallout.
And Murkomen, a n ally of them DP, was forced to periodically cut short his speech when he toured Emurua Dikir constituency as locals sang anti-Jubilee slogans.
The outspoken senator was forced to hurriedly leave the scene when the crowd turned hostile for his safety.
Emurua Dikir is represented in parliament by outspoken MP Johanna Ng’eno, who has never hesitated to criticize Ruto and Jubilee administration in general.
Jubilee administration has been fighting to keep its popularity in South Rift region given the rising popularity of Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and a host of disgruntled MPs ho accuses the administration of short changing them.
Recently, Ng’eno maintained that the DP would never ascend to presidency claiming that his style of leadership was dictatorial.
