Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen on Sunday clashed with Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu over Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 chances.
Before the church service in Nyeri, Ngunjiri had hinted a possibility of missing out from the event, only to make appearance later on.
"Let me take this opportunity to welcome Murkomen and Kimani Ichung'wa and other members of Tanga Tanga squad to Nyeri," he wrote.
For months now, Ngunjiri, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, has been at loggerheads with leaders supporting DP Ruto, insisting that they are destructing the president's agenda.
But while addressing pilgrims, the Elgeyo-Marakwet insisted that he had not come to 'Tanga Tanga' adding that he had come to contribute towards building of church.
"I was a Sunday school teacher and if Ngunjiri had gone to Sunday school like I did, he should have known that church building is in the scripture," he said.
And when he spoke Ngunjiri insisted that he is a son of clergyman and understand the scripture well.
"I have heard someone say that I need to be very careful if I need to be elected in 2022. It is only God who knows my fate."
