Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has scoffed at ‘NASA orphans’ over what he describes as Opposition’s best performance as a political outfit.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator said opposition supporters qualified their leaders on the basis of verbal expression rather than tangible actions.
In a Twitter post on February 14, Kipchumba Murkomen said National Super Alliance legislators' performance was only measured by how frequent they chanted opposition allied slogans and with mock oaths.
"I love the way NASA political orphans are quick to criticize my tweets,” Murkomen stated via Twitter.
“Always talking about my performance yet their leaders are measured by the number of times they say Tibim and Tialala plus mock oaths. Even dimwits are asking about my academic credentials? I #RESIST.”
The Senator has been an all-time critic of the Opposition, most often laughing at the side’s strategy on fighting ruling Jubilee.
Most recently, he said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka abandoned the January 30 swearing-in plan in fear of his 2022 presidential ambitions.
The 2022 election is set to expose much political theatrics in Kenya’s history as Deputy President William Ruto unleashes his gear for the contest.
Already, Jubilee party has prominently expressed its desire to have him on the ballot.
Meanwhile, the Opposition is yet to get clear on who will battle it out against DP Ruto. Both ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and Wiper party’s Kalonzo Musyoka have set their hooks for Opposition ticket.
