Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has reiterated that no Kenyan should die either for President Uhuru Kenyatta or opposition leader Raila Odinga or any other politician for that matter.
According to Murkomen, there is no animosity between President Kenyatta and Raila or any other politician for that matter.
In his view, politicians from both Jubilee party and National Super Alliance (NASA) dialogue with one another frequently on any issue of concern.
"It is laughable for any Kenyan to die for either President Kenyatta or Raila Odinga or any other politician for that matter. Politicians dialogue with one another and they help each other in case of any problem. Our children even go to the same schools," Murkomen said.
The senator, however, maintained that the country must hold an election on Thursday for future prosperity of the country.
He believes failure to do so will set a bad precedent for future elections when presidential candidates hold the country at ransom by consolidating their strongholds from participating in an election.
"The country must have an election on Thursday. Failure to do so will set a bad precedent for the country. Future presidential candidates may decide to hold the country at ransom by having their strongholds boycotting an election," added Murkomen.
He made the remarks on Monday on KTN News TV.
