Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has lauded the 12th parliament for being mature unlike the 11th parliament which he said was 'childish'.
Murkomen said that the 12th parliament has 'matured' making the working of the two houses of parliament much easier.
Speaking during the Senate leadership workshop in Nakuru, the Majority Leader said there are no more supremacy wars between the National Assembly and the Senate as it was witnessed during the 11th parliament.
He said that the working between the two houses of parliament is smooth which has enabled smooth legislation
“I think we learned from the mistakes we made during the 11th parliament and as leaders we have realized that Kenyans elected us to serve them and not to fight among ourselves,” Murkomen said.
“People realized that they will not be in the Senate or National Assembly forever and that is why we are seeing this kind of seriousness,” he added.
